Although adidas is headquartered in Herzogenaurach, the German sportswear label still finds time to honor other areas in its home country and around the globe. Its latest homage to the motherland comes in the form of the adidas Superstar, which takes inspiration from the country’s capital of Berlin.
Paying homage to Berlin’s music and dance culture, specifically the techno scene, the Superstar comes covered in premium black leather. Studded rivets are applied to the serrated, cracked leather Three Stripes on the midfoot and the Berlin-branded adidas tongue tag. More distressed, cracked leather finds a home on the heel tab, which displays another hit of adidas Berlin branding. A custom hang tag marks the final reference to Berlin. The black-on-black rubber midsole and outsole complete the design.
The adidas Superstar Berlin will release in September 2025 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
