Brazilian skater Felipe Gustavo partners with adidas to launch a Superstar ADV that celebrates his illustrious career, blending classic design with premium functionality. Gustavo, who won the SLS Championship in 2023, has been a trailblazer in the skateboarding world, representing Brazil on both the Olympic stage and as part of the first-ever Brazilian national skateboarding team. This collaboration pays homage to his achievements and commitment to the sport after being part of the adidas Skateboarding roster since 2017.
The Felipe Gustavo x adidas Superstar ADV is crafted with a smooth core black suede upper, exuding a classic look while ensuring durability for intense skate sessions. Core Black leather Three Stripes branding graces the midfoot, accented with better scarlet piping at the front edges, giving the design a sharp and modern look. The traditional Superstar rubber shell-toe design remains intact, preserving its timeless appeal.
The heel tab also features core black leather with better scarlet edging, adding a cohesive touch to the overall aesthetic. Signature gold foil details elevate the design, including the skater's logo on the heel tab and Felipe branding parallel to the Three Stripes on the sides. These subtle yet striking elements highlight the skater's connection to the shoe.
The tongue showcases a traditional adidas graphic finished in gold foil, further tying the design to the brand's heritage.
