Earlier this year, adidas officially entered the flat sneaker race with the Stan Smith Lo Pro. A low profile spin on the legendary shoe, it quickly became one of the most popular styles in the German giant’s repertoire. Now, for its first-ever collaboration, adidas has tapped legendary Japanese designer Hommyo Hidefumi for the atmos Pink x adidas Stan Smith Lo Pro – and here’s everything you need to know.
Unlike every other Stan Smith Lo Pro currently on shelves, the Tokyo institution’s version features a Core Black fabric upper adorned with subtle floral detailing throughout. Delicate Footwear White dots form the traditional Three Stripe branding along the lateral and medial sides, while a handful of cute lace flowers are stitched throughout, adding texture and dimension to the otherwise understated palette. The floral lace embellishments echo a design move popularized by Danish designer Cecilie Bahnsen in her ASICS collab two years ago – and now, it’s finally arrived at adidas.
