The sneaker loafer hybrid trend isn’t going anywhere. After coming on strong in the first half of 2025 thanks to the New Balance 1906L and a series of similar business-up-top and sports-on-the-bottom silhouettes, we thought that it might be done by the end of the year. We’ve been wrong before, though, and as we dive deeper into 2026, it is clear the hybrid loafer isn’t going anywhere.
The adidas Handball Spezial Loafer Leopard Print is the latest hybrid loafer based on the beloved indoor soccer shoe, this time dropping exclusively in women’s sizing. Bringing together two of last year’s most popular footwear trends, this hybrid dress shoe is covered in faux leopard fur with a golden base color, black spots, and brown accents throughout.
Like the rest of adidas’ Spezial loafers, this pair adds thick piping around the ankle collar and toebox for a classic penny loafer look with a decorative strap over the forefoot featuring gold Trefoil branding on the lateral side. The Three Stripes branding blends in on the side panels in more leopard fur, with adidas branding on the brown Spezial midsole.
The adidas Handball Spezial Loafer Leopard Print will be released February 19, 2026 internationally through adidas and select retailers, with no date yet for a stateside drop.
