The boom for the adidas Samba may have waned slightly. Still, the train keeps rolling for the ladies with the latest Samba LT surfacing in an Aurora Ink Cream White palette that emphasizes the wearability of the model. Several iterations were released throughout 2024, including a vibrant Preloved Yellow pair and classic colorways like Cloud White Core Black.
Long Tongue is what the LT in the name refers to, the retro-inspired foldover tongue. This distinctive feature, made popular by Wales Bonner's collaborative collections of Sambas, adds a nostalgic touch while appealing to modern sneaker trends. The tongue is undoubtedly a statement piece, finished with a ribbed texture and Trefoil branding.
Crafted with soft, smooth leather, the adidas Samba LT Aurora Ink Cream White exudes sophistication and elegance. The rich aurora ink hue covers most of the upper, creating a sleek, understated base that pairs effortlessly with various outfits. The addition of cream white nubuck for the Three Stripes branding along the midfoot and on the T-style toebox further enhances the visual contrast and depth of the design.
Another hit of cream white leather appears in leather on the back heel tab, which features three distinctive lines of stitching. The Samba moniker is visible, parallel to the Three Stripes branding, and finished in gold foil. A linear adidas graphic sits upon the footbeds, and the design is finished off classically with a gum-colored rubber outsole that provides a comfortable fit with increased traction and grips across multiple surfaces.
The adidas Samba LT Aurora Ink Cream White W is set to release on January 1, 2025, via adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in women's sizing, retail is $120.
