German sportswear giant adidas and Japanese brand atmos have unveiled a striking collaboration that merges two iconic designs from the 1990s. The result is the newly reimagined Radlander, a fresh take that pays homage to the rugged, outdoor-inspired ethos of the Equipment (EQT) range while introducing modern updates by blending elements from the Adventure Hi with the Badlander. This collaboration continues the extraordinary partnership between the two, which has seen global projects like the Samba OG Tuxedo and ZX G-SNK pairs become highly sought after.
This release aligns with adidas' broader emphasis on its EQT range, focusing on the immediate future, which is set to take center stage in SS25. The EQT line, initially introduced in the early 90s, was built on the principles of functionality and performance. The Radlander celebrates this legacy by bridging archival designs with contemporary sneaker culture.
There is no drastic shift from the overall appearance of the atmos x adidas Radlander. The sneaker boasts a distinctive design with durable nubuck and ballistic nylon overlays, echoing the Adventure Hi's trail-ready construction. Hues of light brown, almost sandy, envelop the nubuck base, while tones of olive green adorn the nylon weaves.
The tongue is also constructed from nylon, hidden by the unique shroud cover secured by elastic straps encased in the panel. Three metal eyelets appear on the lateral for the straps to connect to, all carrying EQT branded tags, with a tag at the toe denoting the adidry membrane technology that lines the shoe. A debossed EQT logo is subtly apparent at the midfoot and underneath the protective flap.
The tongue has a woven adidas Equipment label. The only co-branding visible is on the insoles. The core black Feet You Wear (FYW) sole unit underfoot encases a Torsion System, ensuring comfort and performance.
The atmos x adidas Radlander is set to release on December 14, 2024, via atmos online and in-store. In men's sizing, retail is ¥27,500 (approx $183). Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.

He will forever profess that Cricket is better than Baseball and that Rugby League is better then Rugby Union. Among his many hot takes, he believes the adidas ZX range is the pinnacle of sneaker design.
