A current trend of athletic wear being adapted for streetwear is one that adidas is capitalizing on with the introduction of the new Predator Freestyle model. Last year, Japan-based retailer atmos launched a collaborative take on the Predator Mundial, which was very successful, while adidas unveiled multiple inline color schemes. This year, we will see another iteration, with the Predator Freestyle, hit the shelves. Already seen in Core Black Cloud White, a reverse Cloud White Core Black iteration is expected shortly after.
Of course, athletic products worn as casual wear are nothing new, with the NBA always leading the way in that sector. However, the emerging trend of soccer cleat-style sneakers being included in outfits on the catwalk and the streets is a key talking point in fashion, with the Samba boom for The Brand With The Three Stripes leading to consumers searching for a similar aesthetic. This trend has led to a resurgence of classic pairs such as the Predator and Copa Mundial, amongst others, as adidas experiences a peak of popularity.

Craig Bell happily talks about sneakers or as he calls them "trainers" every day of the year. An avid Bradford City fan, he's also a big supporter of the Philadelphia Eagles. He will forever profess that Cricket is better than Baseball and that Rugby League is better then Rugby Union. Among his many hot takes, he believes the adidas ZX range is the pinnacle of sneaker design.
