The tonal story created by shades of blue and purple together is a time-tested mix, and for its first adidas sneaker collab, Ryoko Rain is sticking to the classics. Bringing a classic silhouette to the collection, the California streetwear brand is using the Jabbar Lo to tell a color story in cool tones.
Classic Colors for Classic Collab
The Ryoko Rain x adidas Jabbar Lo features a blue leather toecap and lace panel with a pointy penny loafer-style perforated toe. A deep purple shade of leather takes over the rest of the upper, with white leather Stripes and a chain-stitched triangle shape at the heel. Another shade of lighter purple is added to the sockliner to create a trifecta of evolving colors.
The pair adds more white on the laces and heel tab, with a gum sole underfoot and gold co-branding. A Ryoko Rain logo sits above the Three Stripes on the side panel in traditional adidas fashion, with more gold on the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar tongue logo.
