Pharrell and adidas have found a new dimension, but you’ll need to pay a pretty penny to get in on the action. Expanding on adidas’ $500 Evo series that reshaped the performance running industry, the new collaboration with Pharrell’s Humanrace doubles that price tag, introducing a concept shoe made with haptic, touch-reactive design elements for an evolution of underfoot cushioning.
The Humanrace x adidas EVOLUTION PRO was conceived as a design study, with Skateboard P’s design sense infused into the most advanced technology adidas running has released to date. The shoe is designed with a full mono-mesh upper with a “5D” raised dot pattern and Lighstrike Pro midsole for ultimate cushion. We’re not quite sure what adidas means by “5D,” but with a recent focus on haptic feedback, maybe they’re taking inspiration from Nike’s Mind collection.
