While the primary focus at adidas has been Anthony Edwards, the other signature athletes signed to adidas Basketball are still dropping heat. For Donovan Mitchell, who is currently on his sixth signature model, the DON Issue 6, we’ve seen him play with vibrant color palettes for multiple releases. Add another to the list as a Christmas-themed Big Apple colorway has appeared.
Featuring colors synonymous with Christmastime, the sneaker comes coated primarily in a red shade across its mesh base. Pops of scream green appear along the TPU reinforcement on the mudguard, lining in between the black and red panels surrounding the tongue, the lace set, and the pull tab on the heel. More black hits on the mesh tongue help ground the design and allow the red Donovan Mitchell spider logo on the tongue to shine.
Internally, the sneaker features a bootie construction, with black neoprene locking you around your ankles. Down below, the midsole contains Lightstrike Pro cushioning for a responsive and comfortable experience on the court, with reinforcement in the form of a midfoot shank in black. The red foam midsole finishes the look with a scream green rubber outsole.
The adidas DON Issue 6 Big Apple will release on December 7, 2024, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $120.
