Following the massive success of the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1, which broke records at the 2023 Berlin Marathon and has since helped athletes set three world records, seven national records, and one Olympic record, adidas is once again redefining race-day performance with the launch of the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 2. The Evo 2 doubles down on speed-enhancing innovations while maintaining the lightweight build that made its predecessor a favorite among elite runners.
At the heart of the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 2 is a re-engineered midsole featuring a 10% increase in forefoot stack height, made possible by 3mm of added LIGHTSTRIKE PRO EVO foam. This new construction delivers 5% more energy return than Evo 1, giving athletes a distinct advantage with every stride. Combined with a new grid-patterned outsole that enhances forefoot traction and a forefoot rocker at 60% of the shoe's length, the Evo 2 is built for aggressive propulsion and ultimate efficiency on the road. The shoe maintains the same ultralight weight as its predecessor, despite its added volume.

adidas athlete Tigist Assefa, who shattered the women’s marathon world record in the original Evo 1, shared her experience with the Evo 2, stating, “It offers incredible lightness while providing energy return and bounce underfoot, giving me a feeling of comfort and confidence to focus on running my best race.”
The adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 2 will launch in limited quantities on April 25, 2025, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. A wider release is expected later in the year. Like its predecessor, the sneaker will retail for $500. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
