Pharrell’s adidas Adistar Jellyfish is the talk of the sneaker industry. After months of previews from Skateboard P and The Clipse, sneakerheads are finally getting their hands on the massive runners and discovering just how big (and comfy) the Jellyfish really is. For fans of the Jellyfish who don’t vibe with moon boots, or who missed out on raffles, adidas is looking out with the XLG 2.0, a Jellyfish takedown that’s cheaper, slimmer, and not nearly as exclusive.
The latest colorway of the adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 is a more interesting color combo than we’ve seen on past XLG 2.0s or Jellyfish, mixing burgundy, mauve, and taupe tones for a muted mix of purplish red. The mesh across the upper is a light burgundy, with deeper maroon tones on the toe and support panels, and lighter taupe on the midsole. The Three Stripes get a cream border with more maroon in the middle, with an opposite treatment given to the lace loops.

If the Jellyfish is adidas’ contender for Sneaker of the Year, the XLG 2.0 is bringing the hype energy to the masses. Complete with TPU exoskeleton supports and more texture than the typical runner, adidas has also brought over some of the same colorways, including the Solar Orange mix. As Pharrell continues to drop single-color Jellyfish on white mesh backgrounds, this take on the XLG is bringing more individuality and life to the takedown model.
The adidas Adistar XLG 2.0 will be released Spring 2026 through adidas and select retailers in-store and online. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price on this pair is still TBD. For all the latest adidas news and drop info, download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
