It's not uncommon to see footwear brands "take inspiration" from competitors' popular models to tap into trends. Look at the dozens of new mule and slip-on designs from across the industry. These have mostly come under the foam-based category, though adidas is looking back to the classics with its upcoming Adimule silhouette, which is strikingly close to a Birkenstock sandal. After looking at four colorways slated for August, we have an official look at the Rustic Orange rendition.
While dubbed Rustic Orange, the suede forefoot covering on this Adimule is closer to a shade of brown, something you'd find on a classic Birkenstock mule. This monochromatic finish is applied to the entire forefoot and toe area. Trefoil branding is debossed onto this covering, while the logo is also on the tan suede footbed. The design is completed with the cork midsole and a tonal rubber outsole that borrows its look from the adidas Adilette slide.
The adidas Adimule Rustic Orange will release sometime in 2025 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $105.
