adidas is preparing to launch its latest Terrace Icons Collection, celebrating elite soccer clubs and paying tribute to the stadium terraces of the 1980s, an era when these shoes gained prominence among match-attending fans. The Gazelle has always been one of the staple sights on the terraces and continues to be one of the most popular silhouettes. The collection will include four pairs, starting with the Juventus FC x adidas Gazelle Terrace.
Since 2015, the German sportswear giant has been the kit and equipment supplier for the Italian soccer behemoths, Juventus FC, with the current 408m deal set to run until 2026-2027. In the past decade, various collaborations have emerged from the partnership, including a ZX 6000 that represented J in the modern A-ZX series. It is not the first time the Gazelle has been the vessel for the club's branding either.
