German sportswear brand adidas has teamed up with Manhattan-based retailer West NYC to present a spellbinding take on the Gazelle Indoor. The sneaker boutique, located on the Upper West Side in New York City, is working with adidas for the first time in collaboration after working with Nike, Saucony, X-Large, and New Balance. Fiercely independent, the retailer focuses on its local neighborhood and brick-and-mortar location while maintaining a low online presence.
Known as the Wizard edition, the West NYC x adidas Gazelle Indoor is crafted from smooth suede and decadent velvet in collegiate purple hues throughout the upper. This design is striking, offering a luxurious texture and mystical visual appeal. Metallic Gold accents on the Three Stripes and heel tab provide a bold contrast, adding an element of vibrancy to an already distinct shoe.
Instantly recognizable, the Gazelle Indoor silhouette is known for its classic low-cut shape, and this edition retains its timeless appeal while introducing fresh elements. Dual branding is featured prominently across the design, with co-branded logos on the tongues, heel tabs, and insoles. Its traditional translucent gum sole complements the purple and gold upper, grounding the bold design with a nod to its heritage and providing comfortability while ensuring plenty of traction and grip.
Customization is a key focus of the release, with multiple ribbon lace sets included to allow wearers to switch up their look. The variety of laces adds versatility, enabling the sneaker to complement a range of styles. This thoughtful inclusion elevates the overall value of West NYC's design.
With a limited production run of just 600 pairs, each individually numbered, the collaboration includes a collection of extras that enhance the unboxing experience. A custom dustbag is perfect for protecting the sneakers when not in use. A poster and stickers featuring the Wizard theme are included, and the partnership's unique trefoil x wizard graphic appears on special hangtags, adding a unique vibe.
