Much of the footwear industry can be criticized for its lack of quality and craftsmanship, but adidas’ Made in Italy series skirts these criticisms. Multiple sneakers from The Three Stripes have taken trips down to the Mediterranean, including a handful of Samba OGs in 2024, but 2025 seems to be focused on the Gazelle Indoor. Following up on the Black colorway launched in March, April will feature an earthy Brown colorway on the Made in Italy Gazelle Indoor.
With a premium $350 price tag, the construction of this Italian-made sneaker is top-tier, featuring luxurious Italian leather. A tonal brown is applied to the sneaker from top to bottom, including the T-toe suede overlay, leather base, leather tongue, and leather sockliner. The upper remains untouched, but the tooling and build of the sole unit have radically changed.

A dressy-inspired welted midsole, one that you’d find on traditional and heritage dress shoes, replaces the indoor soccer sole unit. Internally, the sole unit is attached using Sacchetto construction, a technique where the upper comes stitched to a flexible, supple lining that helps create a sock-like sack. Finishing the design is the tonal crepe outsole.
The adidas Gazelle Indoor Made in Italy Brown will release on April 14, 2025, through atmos Japan online and in-store. A wider global release is expected to take place later in the month. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $350.
