There’s nothing we love more than a local sneaker shop collab. Sneaker boutiques that are members of their local community tend to bring the most in-depth stories to their collaborations, making sure they put on for the city that helps them stay afloat. In a new collaboration with adidas, Texas sneaker store Kicking It didn’t pull any punches, adding as many references to the local live music scene as they could fit.
The Kicking It x adidas Gazelle Indoor Live Music is a tribute to Austin, Texas, aka the Live Music Capital of the World. Starting with a dark blue T-toe in the shop’s logo color, the rest of the upper is done in teal as a tribute to the teal-tinted Muddy Waters mural at the historic Austin blues venue, Antone’s. The side panels have guitar strings embroidered onto the teal panels, with a leather guitar pick icon on the lateral heel. The mural references continue on the yellow Three Stripes and red heel counter that represent the famous Welcome to Austin mural on 6th Street. Finally, a large 512 lace dubrae is added to the bottom lace, because as we know, everything is bigger in Texas.

“Known as the Live Music Capital of the world, we appreciate & respect the people & talent that has walked through the city of Austin,” Kicking It wrote about the collab. “Many of which made their way through Antone’s Home of Blues venue that was established in 1975. The mural of Muddy Waters was created by Nate “Sloke One” Nordstrom and Chris Rogers & has become a staple in the 512 & now marks the color blocking of the ‘Live Music’ Gazelle Indoor.”
The Kicking It x adidas Gazelle Indoor Live Music will be released October 11, 2025 exclusively through Kicking It. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $120. To keep up with all the latest adidas collab drops, make sure to download the Sole Retriever mobile app.
