Bruce Lee’s influence has gone well beyond the film and martial arts world, as athletes in various sports look to Lee for inspiration. In footwear, Bruce Lee’s fit from the unreleased film Game of Death has played a significant role in colorway designs for basketball models. It will even be honored through an officially licensed collaboration with adidas on the Jabbar Low later this year. Also on the slate for adidas Basketball is a DON Issue 7 taking on a Bruce Lee colorway palette.
The silhouette's upper is primarily coated in a yellow engineered mesh, featuring a tri-tone palette of yellow, red, and black. Here, a dotted Three Stripes pattern runs from the red piping of the tongue down to the matching yellow sole unit. More red is on the spider logo on the black neoprene tongue, while the spider logo on the black nylon pull tab is in red and white.

A zipper shroud conceals the yellow laces below, while the rest of the tongue and internals are also rendered in black. Below sits a yellow foam midsole with Lightstrike cushioning and a TPU shank on the midfoot. While other colors of the DON Issue 7 cover the TPU shank in a faux black carbon fiber finish, this pair features a tree ring-esque look.
The adidas DON Issue 7 Bruce Lee will release in October 2025 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $120.
