Skateboarding became an official Olympic sport during the postponed 2020 Summer Games in Japan, and a native of the island walked away with the first gold medal: Yuto Horigome. Outside of shredding for the island nation, he’s sponsored by Nike SB, which has afforded him the opportunity to work on two SB Dunk Low colorways over the last few years. Before his former roommate Dashawn Jordan can drop his first SB Dunk Low collab, early images of Yuto’s upcoming Nike SB Air Force 1 colorway emerged online.
Unlike the previously seen Nike SB Air Force 1 Low colorways, which have all been covered in suede, Yuto Horigome’s pair opts for a combination of smooth leather and mesh. White is the dominant hue, with the shade present on the toebox, mudguard, eyelets, and heel overlays. Iron grey on the midfoot Swoosh is slightly darker than the grey used on the sockliner, but matches the Nike SB AF1 and Yuto Horigome text on the tongue tag.
Yuto’s cross arrow logo is stamped on the lateral heel, while the number 7 with a Nike Swoosh cutting between its center is found on the heel. Underfoot sits a coconut milk-shaded AF1 midsole, which has been slightly retooled for this SB iteration. The footbed has been lowered to sit closer to the ground, allowing for better board feel, while the traction pattern is updated to better suit the needs of skateboarding.
The Yuto Horigome x Nike SB Air Force 1 Low will be released Fall 2026 through Nike SB skate shops and Nike SNKRS. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $125.
