YMC and Merrell Bring Hairy Suede to a Second Collab Moab Mule Pack

Mules are all the rage. The open-back slip-on has been the trendiest silhouette of the summer, with brands across the sneaker industry taking notes from Birkenstock, cutting off the heel of everything from Sambas to Air Jordan 14s. At Merrell, the hiking brand has been offering trail-weary walkers a slip-on version of its popular Moab model for years.

Merrell’s Latest Mule Collab

As Merrell joins Salomon and the rest of the hiking industry in an embrace of streetwear aesthetics and collab culture, the latest Moab partnership teams up with London fashion label YMC (You Must Create) for a second collection of the Moab 2 Slide, this time in fall-ready shades of hairy suede.

Keeping things simple, the new YMC x Merrell Moab 2 Slide Pack features one pair in dark brown hairy suede and a second in pitch-black hairy suede. On both pairs, YMC adds black to the midsole and outsole for a monochrome makeup on the black pair and a two-tone look on the brown. YMC branding is added to the footbed, with a classic yellow Vibram logo on the heel of the midsole.

The YMC x Merrell Moab 2 Slide Pack will be released today, September 11, 2026, through YMC, followed by a global drop September 21, 2026, from Merrell and select retailers in-store and online.
