If you’re not on board with Ye anymore after his numerous public outbursts and vile speech, we don’t blame you. Still, you can admit that his influence in music and fashion runs deep, and while he no longer has the backing of industry titans like Gap or adidas, Ye is pushing forward with his independent venture in fashion. On the back of multiple sold-out stadium shows across the globe and a new partnership with JD Sports, Ye took to Instagram to showcase new Yeezy sneakers and boots.

Ye Previews New Yeezy Sneakers

The independent Yeezy brand has mainly stuck to easy-to-make and low-cost foam-injected slip-on silhouettes, though there are some examples outside of this, like the women’s heels and the Bully sneakers. This new batch of footwear goes back to more traditional shapes and, if we’re being honest, old Yeezy footwear territory.

A silhouette reportedly called the Yeezy 800 is strikingly similar to the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 in Vanta Black, featuring a fang-toecap, layered panels, and a ghillie lacing system. There’s also a tan combat boot that reminds us of the Yeezy Season 4 boots, though it looks like there are more laces and a higher cut here. Ye also posted photos of himself rocking a black colorway of the boot from a toe-down view to show the leather upper.
