Thanks to Nike tracing its origins to the track on the University of Oregon campus, the Ducks will forever be blessed with exclusive collabs and sneakers. Outside of the continuous player-exclusive sneakers for athletes, the public usually has a few chances to cop some official Nike x Oregon Ducks gear, and last year was no different. The school teamed up with the legendary band the Grateful Dead to produce merch and an Air Max 90 colorway. Once it was released, it sold out quickly, but Nike is now restocking the sneaker alongside its latest Grateful Ducks drop for the school’s basketball team.

The shoe itself features a mixture of Oregon Ducks and Grateful Dead iconography. A tie-dye mudguard plays into the trippy themes of the group, while the dancing bears often associated with the Grateful Dead are transformed into Oregon’s duck mascot on the insole. Grateful Dead branding replaces the Nike Air on the heel, with Oregon taking over the tongue tag of the right shoe. Final details include a trio of graphics for Nike, Oregon, and the Grateful Dead on the insole and a rainbow pack of laces.

When Does the Grateful Dead x University of Oregon x Nike Air Max 90 Grateful Ducks Restock

Nike will be restocking the Grateful Dead’s University of Oregon x Nike Air Max 90 Grateful Ducks on February 27, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET. It should go live on the Nike SNKRS app, with most shock drops using a LEO (let everyone order) method. Basically, you’ll have two to three minutes to enter the releases, and after that, Nike will randomly select winners.
