Where to Buy the Nike x One Piece Trading Cards

If you haven’t noticed, trading cards and collectibles are on an astronomical rise. It's not limited to 1-of-1 signed sports cards but also trading card games (TCGs) like Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and One Piece. The latter of the three is set for a collab spree throughout the month of September, including a project with Timberland, McDonald’s x SpongeBob, and, arguably, the most hyped of them all, Nike.
One Piece’s Nike collab collection is set to feature three Devil Fruit-themed Nike Air Max Plus colorways and matching apparel, but we have now learned of another aspect of the collection: One Piece trading cards.
What Nike x One Piece Cards are Offered?
Nike and One Piece have created four different card designs, three of which are direct references to the Nike Air Max Plus collab. This includes Devil Fruit-themed DON!! Cards, Gomu Gomu, Mera Mera, Ope Ope, and a Character Card for P-099 Monkey D. Luffy. Each of the Devil Fruit cards depicts cartoon versions of the One Piece x Nike Air Max Plus colorways, while the Luffy card shows a drawing of the character wearing the shoes.
The press release from One Piece also notes that the Luffy card effect for the One Piece TGC is identical to the previously released P-099 Monkey D. Luffy, and that this is just a version with alternate artwork.
How to Acquire the Nike x One Piece Trading Cards
So far, there are two confirmed ways to acquire the Nike One Piece trading card collaboration.
Nike Tokyo Dr. B’s RESEARCH LAB Pop-Up
Nike previously announced they would host a pop-up in Japan to release the One Piece x Nike Air Max Plus Devil Fruits collab and accompanying apparel, with the Dr. B’s RESEARCH LAB pop-up also playing host to the trading card release. Customers who purchase footwear from Dr. B’s RESEARCH LAB will receive the Gomu Gomu card. Those who purchase apparel or hats will receive the P-099 Monkey D. Luffy card. Unfortunately, access to Dr. B’s RESEARCH LAB pop-up was limited to a lottery that closed on August 26.
Weekly Shonen Jump
Luckily, those who cannot make it to the physical pop-up in Japan can apply for a 34-card set featuring 10 cards each of the Gomu Gomu, Mera Mera, and Ope Ope DON!! Cards and 4 Luffy Character Cards through the online magazine Weekly Shonen Jump.
Applications are open from September 18, 2026 to October 18, 2026, with a limit of one application and set per person. In addition to subscribing to Weekly Shonen Jump, there is a separate application fee required to receive the set. More specifics on the application process will be revealed on September 18.
One Piece Card Game Tournaments
One Piece's press release also mentions that English versions of the cards will be distributed at One Piece Card Game tournaments. In September, there are two events scheduled, one from September 4-6 at Bandai Card Games Fest in Utrecht, and another from September 19-20 at Bandai Card Games Fest Dallas. Check here for details on upcoming events that may distribute the cards. Keep in mind, it's not confirmed which events will have the cards.
Will the Cards Release in the US?
Though specific details were not shared regarding the release of the Nike One Piece trading cards, the press release confirms that there will be English versions of the cards released outside of Japan. It specifically states: “English-language versions of some of the cards from this collection are scheduled to be distributed in connection with Nike's sale of the collection.”
Nike is splitting up the cards to coincide with the staggered release of the One Piece x Nike Air Max Plus Devil Fruits colorways. The Gomu Gomu pair is set to drop in Japan on September 4, where you can acquire the matching cards.
The pattern will hold true for the other two, so the Mera Mera card will be available at in-store releases in Hong Kong, Jakarta, Mexico City, Seoul, Shanghai, Taipei, and Umeda on September 12. The Ope Ope colorway is being released in the US and Europe, specifically Amsterdam, Dallas, Decatur, Düsseldorf, Lawrenceville, London, Madrid, Milan, San Diego, Stockholm, and Washington, DC, on September 19.
