The Black Mamba will live forever. Even after Kobe Bryant’s untimely passing, his presence is still felt by NBA athletes, sneakerheads, and fans, who will continue to channel the Mamba Mentality in all aspects of life. Nike has done an excellent job of honoring Bryant’s legacy through a variety of sneaker releases, with the latest homage to Kobe coming in the form of the Mamba Eterno Collection.

Nike Kobe Mamba Eterno Collection Details

Nike’s Mamba Eterno collection, which is a celebration of Kobe and the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos, features multiple silhouettes. Included is an Air Force 1 Low, a Kobe Dunk Low Protro, a Kobe AD Protro, and a Kobe 3 Low Protro, with the AF1 and Dunk Low featuring vibrant colors backed by neutral hues. On the Kobe 3 Low Protro, the silhouette undergoes an orange makeover that contains floral graphic patterns on the base layer. For the AD Protro, the model is also doused in orange, but forgoes any print for a clean two-tone orange look.

On Kobe’s latest Dunk Protro release, the silhouette features black overlays along the mudguard, eyestays, heel overlay, tongue, heel, and Swoosh, contrasted by an orange and red textile pattern on the toe, midfoot, and collar. Pops of gold appear on the Kobe sheath logo on the tongue and Kobe Bryant’s signature on the heel. Inside, emerald green and purple grace the right and left insole, respectively, with gold “Mamba Eterno” script done in cursive. Finally, the AF1 is done up in a mismatched color scheme, featuring different accent hues on the Swoosh and heel tab. Both come in a sail hue, with emerald used on the left shoe and purple on the right. Finishing the look is the marbled multi-color outsole.
