As the first Jordan silhouette designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 3 is often credited with saving the partnership between Nike and Jordan. With plenty of iconic colorways blessing the silhouette, the latest AJ 3 gets a slight redesign.
The Air Jordan 3 "Desert Elephant" gets dressed in a similar color blocking to the infamous “Black Cement” pair with a black tumbled leather taking over the majority of the upper while grey suede hits appear on the tongue, eyestay, collar, and sockliner. Around the toe and heel, your usual grey elephant print is reworked to feature a tan, almost cork-like overlay. Orange accents are present on the Jumpman logo atop the tongue and the bottommost eyelets. Back on the heel, a black Jumpman logo takes over the heel tab. Underfoot, a sail midsole gets paired with a grey and orange rubber outsole.
The Air Jordan 3 Retro Desert Elephant is slated to release on July 30th, 2022. Coming in men’s and grade school sizing, the retail price for men’s pairs is set at $200. The Air Jordan 3 Desert Elephant is loaded up on the Nike SNKRS app for a release on July 30th at 10 AM EST through their draw system. Once the draw begins, enter the raffle and after approximately 10 minutes Nike will select winners.
