Wale Debuts a Metallic Orange Nike GT Future Colorway
Published
Nike Basketball looks to be at the start of a resurgence in popularity, specifically on the streetwear side of things, as the brand’s upcoming Foamposite and Hyperflight-adjacent Nike GT Future has gone viral. First debuted by long-time Foamposite fan, DMV native, artist Wale, and high school basketball prodigy AJ Dybansta, the GT future has appeared in seven or so colorways, with Wale leading the charge on this front. Again, the DMV native has blessed us with looks at a brand-new Metallic Orange Nike GT Future.
The molded synthetic upper of the GT Future comes coated in a metallic iridescent orange finish, not too far from the finish applied to the Copper Eggplant colorway. This outer portion covers the bootie construction internally, which is aided by the black perforated mesh tongue, containing a vertical Swoosh logo above the tonal black lace set.
More Swoosh logos find a home on the lateral heel and the medial midfoot. Final details include the perforated medial midfoot and an icy semi-translucent gradient rubber outsole, transitioning between blue and pink hues.
The Nike GT Future Metallic Orange has no confirmed release info. It could be an exclusive pair for Wale and friends of Nike Basketball or a pair set to drop in late 2025 or early 2026. Those interested in copping the GT Future will be able to do so when it debuts in Holiday 2025 for $190 in two colorways.
