AJ Dybantsa Gets His Own Nike GT Future PE

Nike Basketball’s “golden era” varies depending on who you’re asking. Some fondly remember the days of limited and hype LeBron and KDs in the early 2010s, while others look to the mid-to-late ‘90s and early 2000s with innovation after innovation. The energy surrounding these times has been sorely missed, but Nike’s latest silhouette, the GT Future, may be the spark that lights the fire to bring this feeling back. After previews of an array of colorways of the GT Future hit the ‘net, rising high school prodigy AJ Dybantsa was spotted rocking his version of the sneaker.

AJ isn’t a stranger to the line, as the prospect is essentially the face of the GT Future for on-court performance. When first images of the sneaker appeared online, AJ and Wale were spotted wearing different colors, Dybantsa wearing a blacked-out iteration expected to release Holiday 2025. For this PE variant, AJ covers the Hyperflight and Foamposite-inspired upper in a vibrant yellow hue, contrasting this with red hits on the Swoosh logos near the heel and the medial midfoot.

The tongue and lace set comes in black, with the LED Swoosh logos (sorry, this won’t end up on retail versions of the GT Future) split between red and blue on the left and right sneaker, respectively. What makes this AJ’s version of the sneaker is his number and name stamped on the grey outsole.

While AJ Dybansta and Wale have access to multiple GT Future colorways, we must wait till Holiday 2025. The sneaker will retail for $190 and be offered in two colorways, with more planned for 2026.
