Triple Podium Autograph Cards Highlight 2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1

Preview images and the first details for the upcoming 2026 Topps Chrome Formula 1 have been revealed. The Topps Ripped Blog and Beckett have images of several inserts that will populate the product, including the debut of the First Day Issue Box, which has featured exclusive inserts, parallels, and autographs in other sports.

What are the Big Cards to Chase?

The big new chase cards that race fans will be itching to pull from packs are the Triple Podium Autographs, which are triple-signature cards of all of the podium placers from the 2025 season. For example, 2025 Driver’s Champion Lando Norris placed on the podium 18 times, so he will be included in 18 of the triple signature cards, while Nico Hülkenberg, who stepped onto the podium for the first time in his career at the British Grand Prix in his 239th race, will be in one card.

Kimi Antonelli's maiden podium during the 2025 Canadian Grand Prix will also be of interest to the people. Topps says the focus will be on the previous season, but hopefully they will go back in time and create historical Triple Podium Autographs for races that include three drivers champions like the 2023 Canadian Grand Prix with Max Verstappen, Lewis Hamilton, and Fernando Alonso.

Exclusive to First Day Issue Boxes are Molten Mercury on-card autographs. The “on-card” part is critical as most F1 Chrome autograph cards dating back to the 2020 debut have used sticker autographs.

The other big chase for 2026 F1 Chrome is The Grail, a set of nine rare cards that collectors raced to complete last season when the product first launched in order to secure a prize that included solid gold cards and tickets to an F1 race. The F1 Debut Patch Autograph card will also make its return, although it might be limited to just one card because only one rookie, Racing Bulls driver Arvid Lindblad, has made their F1 race debut this season. No disrespect to Lindblad or last year’s drivers who had Debut Patch Autograph cards like Isack Hadjar and Garbiel Bortoletto, but a hypothetical Antonelli Debut Patch Autograph card would be pulling in numbers somewhere in between what Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel’s respective cards are speculated to bring in at auction.

Returning themes from previous releases and other sports include the At Night inserts that feature drivers against the backdrop of a night race, Helmet Collection that has become one of the most popular cards collectors look for thanks to their focus on the driver’s signature gear, and Futuro Autographs that puts a spotlight on the future of the sport. Appearing for the first time in F1 Chrome are Anime that will reimagine the drivers in the popular art style. One only needs to look at how popular the insert has become in baseball to see the impact it has had and why it has made its way onto other sports

When Will the Product Release?

Topps previously had a product page that stated 2026 Topps Chrome F1 would release on September 1. The date has been replaced with a reminder alert and the subsequent teasers, including the reveal of the First Day Issue Box. Unlike the standard Hobby Box, First Day Issue Boxes are released via a Dutch auction where the price starts at one level and subsequently drops after a set period of time until the product is sold out.
