Without a doubt, Travis Scott has been the most impactful collaborator for Nike and Jordan Brand since establishing his relationship with The Swoosh in 2017. Now with nearly 10 years under his belt, he’s got his own signature models with both brands and continues to command the attention of every single sneakerhead when a “SOON” page loads on his merch store. Well, after months of waiting and a recent announcement of a Tokyo takeover, Travis Scott is finally dropping his latest Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG with fragment design.
Around 10:30 AM ET on November 7, Travis Scott’s merch store opened up to reveal co-branded apparel with Nike and the Travis Scott x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Sail Military Blue. Prior to this, Scott took to Instagram to announce a pop-up event in Tokyo, Japan, which took place overnight for us here in the States. At the event, Scott made an appearance and sold collaborative merch with iconic Japanese artists like Takashi Murakami, but the sneakers never went on sale.
Since first dropping his reverse Swoosh-laden Air Jordan 1 High and Low collabs in 2018, Scott’s designs have become a pillar of sneaker culture. Whether it has jumped the shark or not is up to you to decide, but every single time he drops a Jordan 1 collab it takes over the news cycle. Previous drops have all ended up dominating the top 10 SNKRS releases of the year. In 2024, La Flame’s Air Jordan 1 Low Reverse Olive, Velvet Brown, and Canary held the number 1, number 2, and number 5 positions on this list, respectively. If Nike does drop the pair via the SNKRS app, expect it also to hold the top spot.
Right now, Scott’s website is displaying a “Soon” message on the Travis Scott x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Sail Military Blue. Like all of his releases on his website, expect a raffle release, which will likely go live before the day is over.
