We’re just days away from entering the year 2026, so what better time to look back at the top sneaker releases of the year? Well, Nike just revealed the top 10 most wanted SNKRS releases of 2025.
No surprise, but Travis Scott is part of this list. What is surprising is the fact that he only has one entry compared to 2024’s list, which featured La Flame four separate times. That’s primarily due to the lack of Travis Scott Jordan 1s that hit the SNKRS app this year, with the fragment design triple collab limited to just Scott’s website.
The list is also full of retro bring-backs, like the Air Foamposite One Galaxy, Air Jordan 12 Flu Game, Air Jordan 4 Black Cat, Air Jordan 5 Black Metallic Reimagined, and the Air Jordan 11 Gamma, the latter of which tops the list. Kobe Bryant’s signature sneakers also make up 30% of the list, with pairs like the Kobe 8 Protro What The, Kobe 6 Protro Dodgers, and Kobe 6 Protro Sail coming in at number 4, number 8, and number 9, respectively.

10. Travis Scott x Jordan Jumpman Jack Bright Cactus

Travis Scott’s only appearance on the list comes in the form of his Jordan Jumpman Jack in the Bright Cactus colorway. If you’re a wrestling fan, you’ll remember when virtually all of the biggest WWE stars wore the pair around the time of WrestleMania. What a fever dream it was to have Travis interfere in one of John Cena’s matches.
9. Nike Kobe 6 Protro Sail

Nike redesigned the upper of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro for a special All-Star release at the start of 2025 with the Kobe 6 Protro Sail. The upper now features a star pattern, as opposed to faux snakeskin details.
8. Nike Kobe 6 Protro Dodgers

Kobe Bryant’s love for the Los Angeles Dodgers is forever immortalized with the Nike Kobe 6 Protro Dodgers, which was released alongside a line of apparel and baseball equipment. Don’t worry if you missed out on the Kobe 6 this year, Nike is dropping a Kobe 5 Protro Dodgers in 2026.
7. Nike Air Foamposite One Galaxy

Another NBA All-Star sneaker release to make the list, the Nike Air Foamposite One Galaxy made a triumphant return over a decade after its original release. While there weren’t any riots shut down by police this time around, it was still one of the hardest releases to cop and the fact that it appeared on this list shows just how in-demand the colorway still is.
6. Air Jordan 5 Retro Black Metallic Reimagined

One of the most surprising hit releases of the year, the Air Jordan 5 Retro Black Metallic Reimagined sold out instantly upon release and is selling for over $400 in most sizes on platforms like StockX. Jordan retros were sitting on shelves all throughout 2024, and many thought the same would happen for Black Metallic 5s. Think again.
5. Air Jordan 12 Retro Flu Game

Jordan 12s are sleeper hits every time they release. Most sell out on release day, but the Flu Game 12s that dropped in March 2025, like the Black Metallic 5s, were one of the hardest gets of the year. Restocks flew off shelves, and rightfully so. It’s one of the most legendary Jordan colorways in history.
4. Nike Kobe 8 Protro What The

With the Nike Kobe 8 finally back in Protro form, Nike decided to drop the iconic What The Kobe 8 in April 2025. The mismatched colorway dropped on Mamba Day, April 13th, as a way to commemorate Bryant’s final NBA game, which he played in 2016.
3. Air Jordan 4 Retro Black Cat

At the start of the pandemic, the Air Jordan 4 Black Cat became one of the most sought-after sneakers on the market. Resale prices skyrocketed to over $1,000 in most sizes even though it was sitting on shelves when it first dropped. Thankfully, Nike made a ton of pairs, and the price has gone down with the 2025 retro in November.
2. Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 Retro Brick by Brick

Nigel Sylvester’s first Air Jordan 4 collab has topped multiple Sneaker of the Year lists, and rightfully so. It’s a unique colorway with a great backstory and premium materials. Currently, the $225 sneaker is selling for around $600 in most sizes, even after a restock in Las Vegas in October.
1. Air Jordan 11 Retro Gamma

Going back to the last few years of Nike’s top 10 lists, you’ll notice not a single Air Jordan 11 cracked the list. This year, the Air Jordan 11 Gamma tops the whole thing. It’s a pretty divisive sneaker as it's a non-OG colorway, but when it first dropped in 2013, people went crazy for it. There’s undoubtedly a generational divide going on here, but over a decade removed from its last release, it has become widely accepted as one of the best Jordan 11 colorways.
