Reebok has teamed up with Warner Bros. on a collaboration honoring 1987s The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones, bringing both classic cartoons to life. For The Jetsons, a range of apparel and sneakers cover the family and characters seen in the movie and TV show.
The star of the show himself, George Jetson gets his very own Reebok Classic Legacy AZ full of space-age details that cover the mesh and leather construction. The front half remains untouched when it comes to Jetsons motifs with its white mesh toebox and leather mudguard keeping things simple. Placed on the side of the black-on-black tongue and lace combo is a hit of silver Reebok branding. More two-tone hits of black and white make their way onto the midfoot portion, broken up by the blue sockliner peeking over, and the green stitching details. Back on the heel tab, a light switch is placed that nods to George Jetson's place of work, Spacely Space Sprockets. The insole and sockliner details provide more callbacks to his occupation, his computer R.U.D.I. and his boss, Mr. Spacely. Rounding out the look is a white midsole featuring lightning details set to a black rubber outsole.
You can’t forget his wife Jane who is placed on a Reebok Club C Legacy. A brilliant pink leather upper evokes her signature dress, alongside bits of grape punch on the vamp and heel tab. White and silver iridescent hits appear along the eyestay and tongue, piercing off the yellow terry cloth sock liner and surrounding pink leather. Inside the sneaker, a Flintstones and Jetsons co-branded insole on the right pair and details paying homage to Jane Jetsons robot helpers and her obsession with beauty on the left bring her to life. Finishing things off is the semi-translucent pink midsole paired with an icy outsole that houses more Jane Jetson motifs.
The Jetson family wouldn’t be able to function without their trusty maid, Rosie The Robot, who makes her way onto the Reebok Zig Kinetica II. To bring the XB-5000 robot to life, the silhouette is covered in metallic colors that resemble Rosie. Various rivets and markings around the white, black, and blue upper as well as the tongue overlay mimicking her hair provide a playful yet accurate tribute. Down below, a Floatride Fuel midsole cushioning system provides amazing comfort while the Zig Energy Shell wraps around to create all-day stability and support. Rounding out the look is the blue Zig Energy Band outsole.
Leaving the family, the Zig Dynamica 2 is the canvas of choice for Reebok to pay tribute to George Jetson’s boss, Mr. Spacely. Dressing the textile upper and plastic fused overlays are shades of ashen green and pure grey, reminiscent of the suit the greedy mogul wears. On the grey tongue, the Spacely Space Sprockets logo is placed above, with a 3M reflective spray that adds to the space-age look. More details nodding to the rocket company are seen on the heel overlays cog graphic. A digital blue-colored sock liner and rubber outsole as well as the ashen green midsole tie the Mr. Spacely look together.
Reebok's entire Jetsons Collection will launch alongside The Flintstones Collection on April 8th, 2022 through Reebok and select retailers, though Reebok Unlocked members will receive early access on April 5th.
