Saturday morning cartoons may not be a part of your daily routine anymore, but Reebok is looking to bring the magic back with their upcoming The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones Collection. With the space-age-inspired Jetsons side of the collection putting one foot into the future, The Flintstones is taking us into the prehistoric world of Bedrock City.
The patriarch of the Flintstones family, Fred, appears on the Reebok Classic Leather. Details throughout nod to the outfit worn by the caveman with leopard print on the heel and tongue representing his loincloth while the heel tab itself houses a saber tooth tiger. As for the rest of the upper, white smooth leather is utilized with the only hit of color coming from the bright blue laces that call to Fred’s necktie. Finishing off Fred’s look is a white midsole paired with an orange rubber outsole.
Fred’s wife, Wilma Flintstone, comes in the form of a Reebok Club C. Her look tones down on the colorful hits, appearing in an all-white build minus the zebra patterned sockliner and orange faux fur on the heel tab. Pinked leather details on the toebox and tongue mimic Wilma’s white dress while the vamp pays homage to her famous pearl necklace. Printed on the insoles are a co-branded The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones logo and the families rock phone on the right and left shoes respectively. Rounding everything out is the white midsole paired with a gum rubber outsole.
While only Fred, Barney, the pets, and the kids could see The Great Gazoo, the Reebok Zig Kinectica II brings him to life. Borrowing from the green alien's outfit, the entire silhouette is dressed in a two-tone flora green and big green. Placed on the eyelets are protruding antenna details that match The Great Gazoo’s while the insole has his green gloves printed on the left pair. Driving home the alien look is the GITD Zig Energy Shell TPU cage placed between the midsole and upper. Rounding out the look is the Floatride Fuel cushioned midsole and Zig Energy Band rubber outsole.
Paying homage to The Flintstone's pet Snorkasaurus, Dino, is the Reebok Zig Kinectica II Edge, a rugged outdoor take on the lifestyle model. Brown malt suede overlays sit around the toebox, surrounded by the pursuit pink-colored textile underlay that pays homage to Dino’s tongue and appearance. Black eye stays house the bungee lacing system while new low spotted details on the pink tongue further the Dino look. Insole graphics feature various food from the Stone Age and Dino’s tongue. Below all of this, a black Zig Energy Shell cage surrounds the foam midsole with a gum Vibram Ecostep outsole made of 30% recycled materials providing grip finishes the look.
The final pair in the entire The Jetsons Meet The Flintstones Collection mashes the two families together, taking inspiration from both time periods on the Reebok Instapump Fury 94. Various animal print and fur details in a mismatched color scheme make up the underlay, coming in kiwi green, orange, purple, and yellow. The iconic pump system is dressed in iridescent silver as well as the mudguard, bringing the future into the present. Rounding out the look is the Hexalite cushioning system underfoot coming in white paired with a two-tone black and blue rubber outsole on the right while the left pair uses pink in place of blue.
Reebok's entire Flintstones Collection will launch alongside The Jetsons Collection on April 8th, 2022 through Reebok and select retailers, though Reebok Unlocked members will receive early access on April 5th.
