Teyana Taylor's Concrete Rose Air Jordan 3 Collab Shows Off Her Thorny Side

Teyana Taylor first met Michael Jordan 12 years ago when she was still in her early 20s. The multi-talented actor, singer, model, and more sang the national anthem at the Jordan Brand Classic basketball game, and now, as Taylor looks to kick off the year with an Oscar win, she’s back with Jordan for a celebration of her personal and professional evolution.

After getting a couple of sneak peeks at Taylor’s second Air Jordan collab and first take on the Air Jordan 3, the Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 3 Concrete Rose is a literal take on the famous Tupac poem, adding a grey concrete sole and thorny green vines and leather to the upper, finished with a rose graphic on the tongue. In a new editorial shoot, Taylor shows off a green clothing capsule to match the pair while pruning the rope vine accessories on the shoe with a gold set of shears.

“Teyana may be known as Harlem’s concrete rose, but it’s time we give her thorns their flowers,” Jordan says in promotional material for the pair. “Teyana’s second Jordan Brand capsule is an ode to the spiky stems that preserve her softness and adorn her with edge.”
