The foam-based clog game forever changed when the Yeezy Foam RNNR hit shelves in the early part of the decade. While there is no more adidas Yeezy, the DNA and design language of the defunct brand live on through the people who worked on the sneakers behind the scenes. The diaspora of Yeezy alums led many to Crocs, including Cesar Idrobo and Steven Smith, who have been hard at work on a number of upcoming silhouettes.

First up from the new Crocs creative innovation team (led by Smith) is the Crocs Ripple, which debuted in Vegas earlier this year. We learned from the Crocs team that the Ripple will continue to have small drops at select activations throughout the coming months, with the next one scheduled for Art Basel in Miami. Flight Club will be hosting Smith and Crocs for a drop on December 5.

The silhouette’s name, the Ripple, is a not-so-subtle metaphor for what Smith is trying to achieve at Crocs. He’s not looking to totally overhaul the brand or its design language, but rather introduce boundary-pushing models that will create a ripple effect throughout the company and footwear industry beyond. As for the design, it features two different types of foam, Croslite and Mellow, with the concentric blue ovals in the OG colorway featuring the latter of the two. A TPU shank on the sole unit helps with stability.

Steven Smith’s Crocs Ripple will see its second in-person release on December 5, 2025 at Flight Club in Miami. Smith will also be on site at the store, so stop by if you’re in South Florida for Art Basel.
