An Air Jordan 3 for game 3 with plenty of threes flying and Jalen Brunson’s three fingers covering his face. New York City is bubbling over with excitement for the NBA Finals to arrive at Madison Square Garden on Monday night, and even with watch parties canceled and bags banned by the Secret Service, some MSG staples don’t change. When KAT and Wemby jump for the tip tonight, Spike Lee will be seated courtside, and he’ll be there in a new pair of Jordans made exclusively for the occasion.
The Knicks Sixth Man Gets a Finals PE
The Spike Lee Air Jordan 3 is a mismatched pair of retros with one blue shoe and one orange shoe to bring the Brooklyn director as much Knicks energy as possible for his first MSG Finals appearance in the 21st century. Starting with the orange elephant print from the Air Jordan 3 Retro Citrus, Spike’s pair adds a full foot of plush blue leather to the left shoe and striking orange leather to the right.
Keeping the mismatched theme up, the pairs switch colors on the midsole heel stabilizer, with blue added to the right shoe and orange on the left. Likewise, the Jumpman logos on the tongues and the laces switch colors to go opposite of the upper, with a bit of uniformity added on the orange sockliners. Lastly, it wouldn’t be a Spike exclusive without his Mars Blackmon logo, which pops at the lateral heel of both shoes.
