Serena Williams’ SWDC Helps Introduce Nike’s Air Max Phenomena Loafer

SWDC x Nike Air Max Phenomena Loafer Triple Black (W)

Loafers have become all the rage in fashion circles, and sportswear brands have taken notice. Kicked off by New Balance’s 1906L Loafer, a rework of the 1906R mesh runner into a low-cut loafer, almost every brand has introduced a loaferized version of another silhouette on their roster. Nike and Jordan Brand have been slacking regarding this, though we just got our first look at the Air Jordan Mule last week. Now, Nike Sportswear is entering the loafer game with the help of Serena Williams’ SWDC (Serena Williams Design Crew).

Dubbed the Air Max Phenomena, this Air Max Loafer silhouette pairs a traditional loafer upper with the sole unit of the Air Max Sunder. This pictured colorway is coated in black, with metallic silver accents found on the mini Swoosh along the forefoot leather strap and grey on the mudguard running the edge of the upper and sole unit.

The rest of the upper is a black leather construction, including the toe and collar, while the internals feature neoprene padding around the ankle for support. As mentioned, the sneaker features the same tooling as the Air Max Sunder, which features a foam midsole and Air units in the heel and forefoot.

The SWDC x Nike Air Max Phenomena Loafer W will release in Fall 2025 in two colorways, Triple Black and Pearl Pink, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store.
