S’more Cushion: R.A.D. Debuts the Super Stacked MALLOW Running Shoe

The running shoe industry is hotter than it's ever been. From major brands competing with new technology and adding midsole stacks so high that they’re banned from competition to rising hype for collaborations across the growing independent running space and new brands altogether getting their start in the racing space, there’s never been a better time to hit the streets and clock a few extra miles.

The latest indie sneaker brand to join the racing space comes from the world of CrossFit. R.A.D. has steadily been making a name for itself in the training sneaker market, and now, the brand is bringing out the big midsole for its third running silhouette, the MALLOW. Having fun with the ultra-cushioned sneaker, the name is a direct reference to a squishy, soft campfire-ready marshmallow.

Racing into the Running Market

Debuting in a handful of monochrome and two-tone colorways, the MALLOW is instantly recognizable as a racer for its 42mm sole stack and 8mm drop. The rocker sole and engineered mesh upper make for a pretty standard performance runner look, with textured waves on the lateral side of the midsole adding a differentiating aesthetic. Bright pairs in neon green and deep blue stand out from the rest of the black, grey, and off-white debut colors.

The R.A.D. MALLOW will be released May 21, 2026 in-store through R.A.D. and select retailers, with an online drop to follow on May 28, 2026.
