Tyrese Haliburton’s New SLAM Cover Debuts a Mismatched Pacers Puma Hali 1 Colorway

Tyrese Haliburton is back to full health, and there might not be anyone more excited for the upcoming NBA season. After announcing his return from the Achilles injury that kept him out all of last season with explosive workout videos on Instagram, Hali’s latest return to the spotlight arrived at newsstands this week on the cover of SLAM Magazine.

Cover Star Debut

On the cover of basketball’s favorite mag, Hali, a noted pro wrestling fan, shares the space with WWE NXT wrestler Trick Williams. Hali, wearing a pinstriped yellow Pacers jersey, is also rocking a new colorway of the Puma Hali 1 in a jersey-matching mismatch. The colorway features an asymmetric combo that trades yellow and blue uppers and soles with a checkerboard mix in between.

The right shoe starts with yellow on the sole and transitions to blue on the upper, while the left starts with blue on the bottom and rises into a yellow upper. The logos and laces also flip-flop, with blue laces on the blue upper, yellow laces on the yellow upper, and opposite-colored logos on either tongue. On Twitter, Haliburton posted more photos of the pair with the caption “I guess this the SLAM colorway now?”
