Playboi Carti Revealed as Supreme Photo Tee for Fall/Winter 2025
Published
2025 has been monumental for Playboi Carti. The Atlanta rapper finally dropped his highly-anticipated follow-up to 2020’s Whole Lotta Red, with Music garnering commercial and critical success. Carti was even tapped as the opener for The Weeknd’s “After Hours til Dawn Tour,” gracing stadiums across America with his high-energy music. Outside of his musical output, the rapper has taken social media by storm with his fit pics and collaborations with fashion brands like Pelle Pelle and Timberland. However, in a full circle moment, Playboi Carti is finally getting the spotlight on a Supreme Photo Tee for the NYC streetwear brand’s Fall/Winter 2025 season.
If you’ve been a fan of Playboi Carti since his early SoundCloud days, you know just how important Supreme is to him. Years before Carti’s artistic direction and fashion styles evolved, it was hard not to find the rising star rocking Supreme. In his runway debut for VFILES, he performed wearing a patchwork anorak jacket from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection, helping cement the item's status as a grail (the last sale on StockX was for $808). There are countless other examples of Carti rocking the brand in music videos and while out and about, but it should be noted that he was one of the biggest Supreme heads during the mid-2010s.

Carti has taken a much more high-fashion and avant-garde approach to his style now, but when Supreme comes knocking, you can’t say no, especially to the Photo Tee. Beginning in 2005, the Photo Tee has become an annual tradition for Supreme and a quintessential item for long-time fans and those getting into the brand. The first Tee featured Raekwon holding a Tickle Me Elmo and his friend beside him holding an Uzi, causing some legal issues with Sesame Street. Over the years, the Tee would feature the likes of Dipset, Mike Tyson, Kermit the Frog, Neil Young, Rick Rubin, Gucci Mane, Nas, and many more.
Playboi Carti’s Supreme Photo Tee will be released on August 28, 2025, as part of Week 1 of Supreme’s Fall/Winter 2025 season. The image used on the Tee isn’t confirmed yet, but a photo of Carti taken by Gunner Stahl has been making the rounds online and will be featured on posters to promote the new season.
