Does Playboi Carti Have a Timberland Collaboration?

After over four years of waiting, Playboi Carti finally released his highly anticipated follow-up to Whole Lotta Red, Music, released in March. Fans and critics were pleased with the album, even with its loaded tracklist of 30 songs and runtime of one hour and seventeen minutes.

In the lead-up to the album, and even past its release, Carti’s been active on social media, posting fit pics galore, containing 1-of-1 pieces and collaborations with Pelle Pelle. His affinity for Timberland has been documented through these pictures and even in lyrics, like on the track FINE SHIT, where he states, “In New York, I stepped in my Timbs.” So, does Carti have a collaboration with the brand on the way?

Around a week ago, Carti posted pictures of his outfit from the first date of The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour, in which we can see he’s wearing a pair of Timberland 6-Inch Boots containing Onyx branding (the name of Carti’s son) and other references to his Opium label. This includes many double-Os, Trap Authority logos, and “PBC” (Playboi Carti) text, which coincides with his merch pieces on the tour.

We got a closer look at the pair when Carti included a short clip of the Timbs in hand in the music video for his new song with Youngboy Never Broke Again, Alive. The official Timberland account commented on his fit-pic post before this, stating, “Came correct.” This by no means indicates the duo is working together, but one would hope the relationship is there.

Sources online claim the pair is a 1-of-1 custom, so don’t expect this design if/when Playboi Carti and Timberland launch a project together.
