Playboi Carti Vamped Up NBA Jerseys for New Mitchell & Ness Collection

Is your team vamp enough for Carti? The Atlanta rapper is the latest collaborator to join Philly-based sportswear legends Mitchell & Ness for a remixed collection of licensed NBA jerseys. Playboi Carti is known for his high fashion prowess more than his sportswear style, but his tendency to wear basketball jerseys backwards like modern-day Kris Kross (look that up, kids) is a clear inspiration for the collection.

Bringing out jerseys for the Los Angeles Lakers, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, New Jersey Nets, Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers, and two Toronto Raptors colorways, Carti showed love to his hometown and picked a set of the best-looking jersey styles in league history. The collection goes double zero on the jersey numbers and adds a shoutout to Carti’s Young Vamp Life record label and clothing brand with YVL on the nameplate.

The NBA season is still in its first month, but Mitchell & Ness has already decided that the 2025 season will be a rap-focused collab effort. The Carti pack comes just a week after the debut of an MF Doom x Mitchell & Ness Knicks collection that also featured double-zero jerseys.
