Our Legacy x Converse Go Back to Basics on Yin-Yang Chuck 70 Pack
Collaborations are where sneaker brands tend to let loose. Handing creative control to a partner often results in bold designs meant to stand out from the inline crowd. However, for Stockholm-based fashion label Our Legacy, it’s all about blending in. Continuing a long-running collab with Converse, a new pack of Our Legacy Chuck 70s is the perfect example of how subtlety can often be the strongest message.
The Our Legacy x Converse Chuck 70 pack features two high tops in natural ivory and espresso brown canvas that are basically indistinguishable from regular Chucks at first glance. But with a closer look, the shifts in construction make the collab pairs stand out in a major way. The foxing tape between the midsole and upper is turned into a taller, wavy line across the shoe, the toe cap is shortened, and the Converse patch logo is hidden on the inside of the ankle, replaced on the side panel with a logoless yin-yang symbol.
“We’ve created our dream Chuck 70s by simply adding the human factor, leaning into the imperfections we admire from the Chuck Taylors made in the 1960s-80s,” Our Legacy co-founder Jockum Hallin said. “We brought back the uneven, hand-pulled foxing tape that comes up slightly higher, the irregular toe bumpers and the shorter toe caps, trying to highlight the beauty in those human-made ‘flaws’ that occurred back then.”
Our Legacy and Converse have been teaming up for years now, and we first saw the yin-yang patch flip on a pack of All-Stars made in collaboration with Stussy a couple of years back.
The Our Legacy x Converse Chuck 70 Pack will be released September 12, 2025 through Our Legacy, Dover Street Market, and select Converse retailers in-store and online. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
