UK Sneaker Boutique Offspring Built a Love Letter to London With the Air Max Sunder

Sneaker collaborators come in all forms these days, but the classic combo of regional sneaker boutique and big brand is always our favorite because it gives the shops a chance to channel local culture into a piece of footwear history. That’s exactly the route London boutique Offspring took on its new For the Community Air Max Sunder.

Sourcing ideas from the community that make the shop move, the Offspring x Nike Air Max Sunder is red and grey like the dreary brick back streets of London. The upper is made of red denim with a built-in secret, revealing a hidden camo print when it gets wet as a shoutout to London’s notoriously rainy weather. The community-inspired colorway is finished with a custom ring engraved with “For the Community” attached to the laces. The best part? The shoe is made by the community and for the community, retailing at an extremely reasonable £60.

Offspring is no stranger to collabs, but in the past, they’ve been known for their work with fellow Europe-based brand adidas. As for the Nike side of things, the Air Max Sunder marks the duo's first project together. The mid-2000s Air Max model itself has seen a resurgence in the catalog this year after 2024's beautiful Kids of Immigrants collab.

The Offspring x Nike Air Max Sunder For the Community will be released exclusively through Offspring, but a release date hasn’t been announced quite yet. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price will be set at an incredible £60 (approx. $81).
