Official Images Of The Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma Emerge

Encompassing a range of design fields, Virgil Abloh made his mark on the world and will continue to do so even after his untimely passing in November of 2021. Luckily for fans of his design language and the fashion industry, Abloh’s hard work ethic means he left behind a range of blueprints and samples that are set to make their way to the public in the coming months and years. First leaked at the end of October and officially acknowledged by The Swoosh last week, the very first silhouette designed by Virgil Abloh, the Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma, has just received official images in two colorways.

Coming in “White” and a “Wheat” rendition, the sneakers ooze luxury vibes and remind one of something you’d find on the shelves inside a high-end fashion house with its exaggerated sole unit and intricately designed upper. Various materials, including suede, canvas, leather, and mesh, take over the upper with the former of the four materials making up the eyestays, vamp, and overlays around the collar. At the same time, the base layer comes in textile with an animal-like print taking over. Working up the tongue you’ll find a nylon shroud that includes a zipper, hiding the majority of the oversized tongue, while the top features classic OW cut-out details and the brand's infamous hands logo. Other details you’d typically find on an Off-White design, like the hang-tag and Helvetica font on the medial midfoot, remain as do the extra stitching details and orange tab along the Swoosh. Underfoot is the most unique part of this design as a chunky textured foam midsole gets various colors and graphics sprayed throughout while the heel hosts a visible Air unit. Rounding out the design of the sneaker is the spiked rubber outsole with the phrase “Tread Lightly” split between the left and right sneaker respectively. Packaging will also be custom as the top of the cardboard comes with the text “SAFETY DEPOSIT BOX” and various Off-White logos can be found throughout.

The Off-White x Nike Air Terra Forma Pack is set to release in December 2022 through Nike, SNKRS, Off-White, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
