Last year, SKIMS set the sportswear world on its head with the debut of NikeSKIMS, directly competing with Lululemon, Athleta, and the rest of the workout wear top dogs for a place in the growing world of gym fashion.

For 2026, the NikeSKIMS partnership is stepping up to a new level, introducing the NikeSKIMS Rift as the first sneaker from the ongoing collaboration. A retooled take on the 1996 split-toe Air Rift athletic shoe, the collab remix arrives right on time for the shoe’s 30th anniversary.

Debuting in three colorways, black mesh, brown mesh, and tan mesh, the low-profile sneaker strips the Rift silhouette to its simplest form, with just one slim piece of material surrounding the foot made of mesh and synthetic material for supreme breathability. This is secured with a custom NIkeSKIMS strap across the forefoot. The Rift’s famous split toe remains, and a custom grippy outsole adds a series of SKIMS “S” logo nubs for traction.

“There’s something so powerful and beautiful about a ballet flat, which is why reimagining the Nike Rift for the first NikeSKIMS sneaker felt perfect,” says Kim Kardashian. “The Rift isn’t just a shoe – it’s a 90s icon that women everywhere have fallen in love with. Together with Nike, we focused on creating a version that feels minimalist, sleek and flattering.”
