Once touted for its performance running tech, the Zoom Vomero 5 has made a massive comeback with chunkier silhouettes in the footwear space being sought-after. Alongside recent iterations like the "Plum Eclipse" and the "Gundam," Nike plans to drop a straightforward but impactful "Black Picante Red" variant.
The upcoming Nike Zoom Vomero 5 in “Black Picante Red” carries its signature blend of TPU, leather, and mesh, presenting a modern and nostalgic silhouette. A dominant black base layer sets the stage, punctuated by subtle light grey overlays along the toe and heel. Meanwhile, the vamp, mudguard, and midfoot segments echo the same black, fostering a harmonious play of shades. What amplifies the design further is the presence of reflective 3M stripes, adorning the overlays and reinforcing the visual appeal. Accents come in the form of picante red touches that energize the Swoosh and tongue tag, breaking the monotony. To ensure the best comfort, Nike outfits the model with a white Cushlon and Zoom Air cushioned midsole, contrasted against a black rubber outsole.
The Nike Zoom Vomero 5 Black Picante Red will release December 15, 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at 160.
