Nike Just Dropped the WNBA Rebel Edition Uniforms for the 2026 Season

The W is back, baby. Today marks the start of the 30th season of the WNBA, though we’re lucky this anniversary season is actually taking place. The players association and the league were in gridlock for some time on an updated CBA, but thankfully, an agreement was made that gives players more guaranteed money than ever before. Nike, which has a major contract with the league, dropped its 30th anniversary edition basketball sneakers this morning and surprised us with the unveiling of the latest Rebel Edition uniforms for the 2026 season.

All 15 teams in the WNBA have updated Rebel Edition unis, which, if you’re unfamiliar, are essentially the W’s version of City Edition jerseys in the NBA. As always, each uniform represents the history of the city in which the team plays, and this year Nike really went all-out.

“Each Rebel uniform is an opportunity to bring the team’s identity into sharper focus and let their energy speak in a new way on court,” says Katie West, Senior Manager & Designer, Basketball Apparel, Nike. “It’s a privilege to translate what makes each team distinct into something players can wear with confidence and fans can feel connected to.”

Atlanta Dream Rebel Edition

For the Atlanta Dream, Nike honors the city through a simple and low-key design. The jersey features lowercase “atl” script on the chest alongside cream and blue accents on the side. Nike says the inspiration for the jersey comes from the “vibrant energy, cultural impact and a deep commitment to progress” found in the city.

Chicago Sky Rebel Edition

Although the Chicago Sky will be missing Angel Reese this season after trading her to the Atlanta Dream, the squad can still rep some fire uniforms with the new Rebel Edition. The blue hue used on the flag of the city is featured, while “Skytown” branding runs across the chest. The toughness and determination of those from Chi Town helped inspire the design.

Connecticut Sun Rebel Edition

This is going to be one of the last Connecticut Sun uniforms we see as the franchise is moving out of the state to Texas to become the Houston Comets. To honor the team, Nike took inspiration from the Mohegan tribe through the Path of the Sun, and in a seriously great homage, they’ve incorporated solar-inspired details to evoke a sense of rebirth. Fitting for a team that is leaving to become another space-inspired franchise.

Dallas Wings Rebel Edition

Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings are looking for a better campaign this year, as last season they tied the Chicago Sky with the worst record at 10-34. Hopefully this new Rebel Edition uni can help bring some hope to the team, with the design drawing inspiration from the Dallas Diamonds, the women’s basketball team that played in the WBL and WABA.

Golden State Valkyries Rebel Edition

In their first season, the Golden State Valkyries finished just above .500, and hopefully they can keep that momentum going in their sophomore campaign. For the Valkyries Rebel Edition unis, Nike took inspiration from the Bay Area’s energy and the mythological Valkyrie, which helps guide souls to Valhalla in ancient Norse mythology.

Indiana Fever Rebel Edition

This year, all eyes will be on the Indiana Fever. Ok, they’ve been there since Caitlin Clark entered the league, but now she’s expected to debut her signature sneaker on the court at some point during the 2026 season. The Fever’s new Rebel Edition uniforms will go great with her sneakers, as the red jersey, which reflects the “swagger, intensity and competitive edge” of the franchise is going to be a hit for Indy and Caitlin fans.

Las Vegas Aces Rebel Edition

Another WNBA franchise with a signature Nike athlete, that being A’ja Wilson, the Las Vegas Aces, also go red for their Rebel Edition unis. The inspiration for the jersey comes from Vegas’ spirit of spectacle.

Los Angeles Sparks Rebel Edition

Kelsey Plum of the Los Angeles Sparks recently made the move from Under Armour to adidas, and her Three Stripes sneakers will go great with the Sparks’ Rebel uniform. Celebrating what a spark can become, the design is built around the idea of ignition, hope, and possibility.

Minnesota Lynx Rebel Edition

Since the Minnesota Lynx are inspired by the real-life animal, Nike’s Rebel Edition jersey for the 2026 season draws from the animal itself. The dark tone and details are directly inspired by the sleek frame of a lynx.

New York Liberty Rebel Edition

Sabrina Ionescu is going to turn heads in her Nike Sabrina 4 and the New York Liberty’s Rebel Edition uniforms. Inspired by the spirit of Brooklyn, the unis feature a Statue of Liberty-inspired minty green hue, with unoxidized copper shades trimming the upper.

Phoenix Mercury Rebel Edition

The Phoenix Mercury have such a rich history in the WNBA. The franchise is one of the founding members of the league, and in their 30 year history, they’ve secured 3 championships. For the 2026 Rebel Edition unis, Nike uses “radiant energy and heat-driven color to express the intensity of the Mercury.”

Portland Fire Rebel Edition

While Portland is home to footwear HQs for major brands, it’s also known as the Rose City. With the floral connection strong, Nike added a floral print to the Portland Fire’s Rebel Edition uniform.

Seattle Storm Rebel Edition

With a name like the Storm, you know that weather systems will come into play at some point. Nike takes inspiration from storms, layered skies, and the ominous grace of a raven for the green and black unis.

Toronto Tempo Rebel Edition

The newest WNBA franchise, the Toronto Tempo are getting some slick uniforms from Nike to kick off the team’s inaugural season. The Tempo’s Rebel Edition jersey are rooted in speed and duality, with Nike designing the clean uni to “feel proud, rhythmic and bold.”

Washington Mystics Rebel Edition

Finally, we have the Washington Mystics, who have a gradient purple jersey inspired by the U Street Corridor and the surrounding neighborhoods found in the nation’s capital.
