Nike introduced the world to their latest BETRUE Collection during Pride Month this year, comprised of sneakers and apparel that celebrates the LGBTQIA2S+ community. We’ve already seen a handful of sneakers released, from the classic Cortez to the newly revitalized Nike SB Dunk, though the skate-friendly silhouette may have one more trick up its sleeve when it comes to the BETRUE Collection as a sample pair has recently emerged.
The silhouette comes in bright pastel shades of yellow, pink, and lilac across the leather overlays while the base layer utilizes a sandwich mesh in a cream shade. The mudguard and eyestays, alongside the laces, come in a pastel yellow while the heel overlay featuring abstract drawings comes in a gradient lilac to pink. Atop the tongue, the navy blue tongue tag features “BETRUE” branding, also present on the sockliner. Around the collar, a two-tone purple and white mesh host sunrays just below the anthropomorphic sun on the heel tab. Going back towards the midfoot, the lateral side features a pink leather Swoosh while the medial side features a pastel blue. Rounding out the look is the white SB Dunk midsole and lilac rubber outsole.
This upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low BETRUE is set to release on November 18th, 2022. It will drop at Nike, as well as select Nike SB retailers online and in-store. Coming in adults, pre-school, and toddler sizing, retail is set at $115, $90, and $75 respectively.
