Today, there are plenty of specialized sneakers for skateboarding, but back in the day, skaters had to get creative and find sneakers that would bode well on the board. Surprisingly (well, not really), the Air Jordan 1 became a favorite thanks to its construction and tooling, plus the fact it was sitting in sales bins for $24.99. Jordan Brand recognized this history by collaborating with Nike SB in 2014. Since then, we’ve seen the partnership expand to the AJ 4, and Nike SB even retooled Nike Sportswear models like the Air Max 95 and Air Force 1 to withstand the demands of a skateboarder. It seems the Nike SB x Jordan partnership is far from over, as reports have emerged that the Air Jordan 12 Retro Low is now being converted for skateboarding.
Nike SB x Air Jordan 12 Retro Low Details
First reported by Sneaker Market RO, the Nike SB Air Jordan 12 Retro will roll out with two colorways: Triple Black and Bright Cactus. There’s no info on exactly what is being retooled, if anything, but it’s likely we’ll see some material and cushioning changes to make the model adhere to the needs of skateboarders.

There’s also the possibility that the two-pack is part of a collaboration with an outside partner, potentially Supreme, though again nothing is confirmed at this point aside from the fact that these two Nike SB Air Jordan 12 Lows are being produced.
Nike SB x Air Jordan 12 Retro Low Release Info
The Nike SB x Air Jordan 12 Retro Low in Triple Black and Bright Cactus will be released Summer 2027 (April-June) through skate shops with Nike SB accounts and potentially Nike SNKRS and Jordan Brand retailers.
