Jay-Z is back in the news thanks to his three-night Yankee Stadium Extra Innings concert series to celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Reasonable Doubt,” and once you bring Hov back, he’s bound to stick around for a while. The latest tribute to Jay comes from LeBron’s Nike line, with a new pair of LeBron 23s calling back to his “Watch The Throne” themed LeBron 9.

LeBron’s Throne Isn’t Vacant…Yet

The Nike LeBron 23 Watch The Throne is the latest in a long line of LeBron 23 colorways celebrating his sneaker history. Beyond the 23 pairs of the LeBron 23 designed with the King’s greatest career moments, a few PEs have brought back his Kith collab, love for Stewie Griffin, and now, a celebration of Jay and Kanye’s 2011 collab album.

The Watch The Throne 23 follows the same design construction as the WTT LeBron 9 transferred onto the 23, featuring armored black paneling on the crown-shaped lower section of the upper and the tough mesh on top of it. A gold Swoosh pops on the side panel to match the gold spikey lace jewelry and Givenchy-themed graphics on the sockliner and laces.
